EmapMaker

Hello! I’m Ema, and I’m an Italian non-binary graduate student majoring in Asian Languages and Cultures- no, nevermind.

I am that, yes, as I love languages just as much as I love TTRPGS. I speak 3 languages somewhat fluently, with bits and pieces of another 4 to 5 languages here and there, just out of passion for the learning process. I love music as well as I love writing, and all of these passions fortunately mix together quite well, luckily for me.

That, somehow, ended me into TTRPGs and, following after that, map making.

I have been a fantasy map maker for about 2 years now, and a fiction writer for as long as I can remember. I’ve been writing for my own homegames and making maps for about 4 years, and only for the last 2 have started to do it professionally on a number of software and web applications, with which I have grown rather proficient in.
I have taken commissions in the past from friends as some of them run their own homegames, and after hearing quite a number of times that they thought I could give this a go professionally, I decided to take the leap and do just that!

I’ve started on Inkarnate, then expanded to Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft, and currently I am in the process of learning Campaign Cartographer 3 Plus with which I do mainly city maps with the occasional land map here and there.

I have also written a rather extensive amount of Dungeons & Dragons 5e homebrew, although I have published none of it. I have run a good amount of games and have been a Game Master for about 5 years now. I am also currently working on potentially writing a TTRPG system, but I am no expert and I am still very much learning.

I am planning to start trying my hand at hand-drawn maps, as I am a fan and admirer of the old craft and I am hoping to one day dabble into that as well.

My heart, as of right now, belongs in digital and I am hoping to help people in taking their thoughts and turn them into words and take those words and turn them into urban hubs, landscapes, mountains, globes and universes.
